THE NEXT PHASE IS LONDON- A MUST READ

As we have promised, we are more determined than ever to continue the fight to save the Clashindarroch wildcats from Vattenfall’s plans. We wanted to let you know that we  are now fully committed to applying for our case to be heard in the Supreme Court in London. We have assembled the legal team to do this, with the inclusion of a highly rated and experienced, London based Barrister. This is very serious stuff.

Legal submissions are currently being drafted and will be ready in plenty of time for the mid December deadline. You may have noticed that Vattenfall are trying to spin this development as being good for wildcats, by announcing they are going to employ a wildcat officer. This is from the Vattenfall website. ‘…the Wildcat Project Officer will enable the local community around the Clashindarroch Forest to learn more about Scottish wildcats, with plans to run workshops and build model dens to increase understanding of this important species’. 

Have you ever heard such nonsense. The local community are already fully aware of the wildcats there, we have an extensive community network and the Clashindarroch wildcat has been all over the local, and national media. Apparently, they will also be building model dens to increase understanding. It is absolutely farcical. How does any of this help the Clashindarroch wildcats that will have their forest home destroyed and industrialised???? Oh and we are sure that the wildcats will really appreciate the planned ‘workshops’. This is ‘greenwashing’ on a grand scale. You really couldn’t make this stuff up. But this is the reality of how a multi-billion pound Swedish company is acting in Scotland.

It is shameful and we simply have to stop them. The breeding season is also fast approaching so the stakes could not be any higher.
