WILDCAT WONDERLAND

A very warm welcome to all our new supporters and the encouragement you are providing to help us save the Clashindarroch forest and it’s precious wildcats. It truly is a wildcat wonderland and is home to the largest remaining population of Scottish wildcats in existence. We have been monitoring them for 5 years using remote camera trapping and theses are just a sample of the magnificent cats we have found there. The first one is ‘the Clashindarroch beast’ an enormous wikdcat measuring 4 feet in length. The next is a female cat we called Phoenix who shares a territory with the beast. The final video is a younger adolescent wildcat playing. This shows that this is still a breeding population. You will notice that all these videos are captured at night. Wildcats are extremely elusive and very hard to find, but in these videos we get a glimpse of the rarest cat in the world. Enjoy and thanks for your support.
